Week 33

Ok so it has been a while since I had a picture posted of my belly. So here I am at 33 weeks in all of my glory. Cooper has had a growth spur the last couple of weeks and is really getting out there. Overall I am feeling great. I still have yet to get a full night sleep between the leg cramps and the multiple bathroom breaks but overall I feel great.

We go to the doctor on Friday for a normal check up then have 2 weeks till our next visit then go weekly after that. I can't believe we are this close.

This month is very busy with the multiple showers we have going on...Jan 11th, 18th, and 25th. After that it is just a couple of weeks till we get to see our little Cooper...and I mean little! Rob is trying to get me freaked out about a 9lb baby:)

We have only taken one class and that is a breast feeding class. Rob was doing very well paying attention and staying quiet through the 2.5 hour class...well that was until the lady decided to share with the dad's that they could sing fight songs to their children. When she began to belt out the Michigan fight song Rob went into a fit yelling no. Then turned to me and said "Cooper can hear and does not need to hear that crap". Needless to say our son is being born into a die hard ND family!

Over all we are just in prep mode for Cooper trying to get his room done and get everything in order.

A gift from Travis!

Travis is Rob's one and only male host at Mitchell's. We love hearing about all of his adventures and get a kick out of all of his stories. On Christmas Eve he gave Rob and I a gift for Cooper. It is a potable crib on wheels. Rob could not resist and had to get into it. I am sure Cooper will have a blast in a few years with this gift :)

Cooper's Room

I had this idea for a great bookshelf for Cooper's room. Rob was able to find it and put it together this week. It looks so great in the room and we are excited to fill it with books and toys when he gets here. Rob really loves working on his room and is always talking about new things to do in there. I am sure once the crib and changing table comes he will see how little room there is left in there.

Christmas

We spent Christmas up north with Rob's family. It was so great to see everyone and see how excited they all are for Cooper to be here. We enjoyed seeing all the little ones running around and it gave us a glimps into what we had in store for us in the coming years. We will be going back up on the 25th for our shower then we are on major Cooper countdown.

Week 29

We went to the doctor yesterday! I had to do the glucose screening done. I got there and they made me drink this liquid that tasted like a flat 7-up then wait an hour (which Rob and I are getting really good at doing). I got weighed in at a gain of 18lbs so far, which is less then my scale at home woohoo!!

The nurse came in to take my blood and could not get anything out of my right arm. So she moved to the left. By the 2nd stick I was done and feeling really hot and ready to loose it! But she got what she needed and I got to eat my breakfast!

The doctor came in and little Cooper is doing great. My stomach is measuring right at 29 weeks and the doctor said we are shooting for a 7.5lb baby! That made me very very happy. Though she said 9lb babies are very cute Cooper can grow to be very cute :)

His heartbeat was at 147 per minute which is perfect and well within the range it should be. We now begin to have visits every 2 weeks and we are about 10 weeks away from our due date! Let the countdown to Cooper officially begin!

Week 28

I go to the doctor on the 3rd. Not much has happened this last month but just getting bigger. Cooper is suppose to be 17 inches long and 2.5 pounds!! He is still moving around a ton but has been a little less active I feel due to the limited space that he has :)

Thanksgiving was such a joy! We had Rob's Mom and Dad, Larry, here and both my brother and sister came in from out of town. Rob stayed up almost all night getting the dinner ready and was it worth it!! We felt so blessed to have everyone with us for this holiday!

We are getting closer to a 10 week countdown! YIKES! After this next appointment I will be going every other week!

25 weeks

We went to the doctor and everything is perfect with Cooper. He has a little personality already. The doctor was trying to find his heartbeat and he kept moving away from her. Finally she got a strong kick smack dab on the monitor. Rob got a huge kick out of this.

I have gained 15lbs as of our last visit and the doctor is very pleased with how everything is going. Cooper is kicking and moving so much more now, except when Grandma J wants to feel him :)

Our next visit is on December 3rd and I have my big blood draw...not looking forward to that. At that point we begin to have visits every 2 weeks!

Overall I feel great and Cooper seems to be enjoying his space :)

Cooper's Room

So I had this vision of Cooper's room and Rob made it come to life. 2 full days stuck in the room with nothing but a paintbrush he made it look perfect.

We are now excited to finally begin to put all the stuff in there now. Everytime I walk up the stairs and see it I get very excited that we are closer to him being here.

22 weeks

Not much going on now but growth! Cooper will have me gaining about a 1/2 to a full pound from this week forward! He is moving like crazy and does not like it when I lay on my left side (that is his stomping ground)

I feel great and besides a good kick here and there we are sharing my stomach very well! :)

21 weeks

The weekend of our 21st week we went to the home game for the Colt's where they FINALLY WON!!! Cooper was very excited throughout the game and I can tell he already is a huge football fan!

20 Weeks

We went to the doctor right at 20 weeks so they were not sure what they would find...but no doubt what our little guy is!

Rob really is excited though in all of the pictures he is "smiling on the inside"

Week 23

Ok so it has finally hit me that the baby will be here soon. We are almost done with our 2nd trimester and the delivery is creeping up. Rob is able to feel Cooper kick and when he puts his hand on my stomach Cooper moves towards him. They are already buds!

I feel great and I am right at about 13lbs weight gain this week. (I will have pictures once I get the camera back from Rob)

I am having people notice now more that I am pregnant which is nice besides just feeling fat :) They all have to rub my belly and give me their horror stories of labor and child raising. Not the best thing to tell a new mom but I am taking it all in stride.

Rob and I are very excited about the upcoming holiday season. Me mainly for the food it is all I can think about right now. We will be in Indy for Thanksgiving and in South Bend for Christmas.

19 Weeks

Between 18 and 19 weeks I really began to notice a difference. The belly just came out one day. This was taken at my sister's birthday party in September.

18 Weeks

Rob and I were able to golf in a scramble during the 18th week of pregnancy. It was my first official day out on the greens and for being my first time I did not do too bad. I have the lingo down great..."If that tree wasn't there that would have been a great drive" or "That is just my practice swing".

This is the picture of me at 18 weeks! Not showing too much but beginning to see a rounding!

Kicking

So I have been feeling kicking for a couple of weeks now. Mainly when I am sitting still or when I am trying to sleep! :) Last night I was laying there and had my hand on my stomach and could feel Cooper kick my hand. I grabbed Rob's hand and he was able to feel Cooper for the first time as well. Though this was very exciting it is also a strong reminder to me that he is getting bigger and stronger and will soon be able to kick harder and more often!

We go to the doctor for the next time the Friday after the election!

Smacking my lips trying to get back to sleep

Please leave me alone!

The nurse and Rob got a good laugh at Cooper showing us the finger

Look at how BIG my feet are!

Kicking out of frame

What's In a Name?

We are proud to announce that we are expecting a baby boy in February 2009. His name will be Cooper B Schelle.

This name if very special to us for many reasons. First the name Cooper is after a dear friend that we lost last year in a tragic car accident. We are proud and honored to name our son after him. The middle initial is after all 3 grandfathers. It was a way to remember all of them and very special meaning to the both of us.
