1 month old
Well Cooper is 1 month old. I feel like it was just yesterday I was waiting for him to be born. We went to the doctor on the 19th and everything went wonderful. He was 10lb .5oz and 23in! He is growing so big! The doctor said everything looked wonderful and next month we would be back for his shots! Oh NO!!
His 1 month landed on St. Patrick's Day. We had a wonderful day. We took him for a nice long walk then he got to spend some time with Grandma J while Rob and I went out for dinner!
He is beginning to focus in on people's faces and really knows his daddy's voice when he walks in! He loves to listen to his Notre Dame CD and sit in his bouncy chair! He would eat 24-7 if we would let him! We are excted for this next month and all of the first that come along with it.

Great Grandparents
Rob is very lucky to still have 3 out of his 4 grandparents still alive. We could not wait for all of them to meet Cooper over the weekend.
We first surprised Grandma Schaal at church on Sunday. It was Cooper's first offical day in church and he did very well. We made it almost 1/2 way through before he began to get fussy and had to eat. Grandma Schaal was so happy he was there. Later that day Grandpa Schaal came over and got to spend some time with Cooper. He referred to Cooper as Number 13...very funny!
On Monday we headed over to see Grandma Schelle. Cooper was wide awake and just looked at her and all around her apartment. He began to get fussy and ate during our visit but over all was very well behaved!
We feel so blessed to have all of them in our life and now in Cooper's. We can't wait for him to grow up and get to know each of them.
Cooper visits South Bend
We went up for the weekend to visit Rob's family March 14th. Cooper got to meet everyone and also got to go to Notre Dame campus for the first time. Rob was so excited about taking him and showing him the Golden Dome. We got a laugh when Cooper woke just as we were driving on campus and stayed awake the entire time just looking around.
Cooper did really well all weekend except for the powder formula we gave him did not sit well with him. It was a very busy weekend full of family! We are glad he got to see everyone!

My first day home
Rob was so excited to get Cooper home. Rob walked him around the whole house then took him to his room. After showing Cooper his entire room Rob set him up next to the couch and they took a nap together. We had a very easy night with him! Cooper slept for 5 hours almost all night long. Rob and I were both very thankful for this.
