Pulling up
Cooper the last week or so has been very active and is loving to pull himself up. He is climbing over Rob and I now and is really moving. Last night we felt that he finally got the idea of crawling and not just using his head to move around the room. He had the feet and hands moving together to get from one area of the room to the other.
He is really good at pulling himself up and standing as well. This is one of his favorite things to do and he gives us a big grin and laugh when he finally gets it!

Week in Review
Cooper has had a very eventful week. First of all he has mastered nap time. He goes down between 9am and 10am then again between 2pm and 3pm. I now just have to lay him down in his crib, start his mobile, and he is out within minutes. It is amazed me that he took to it so fast and so well.
We have continued to add new food to his feedings. This week we added mangos and he loved them. He does not like vegetable stew he just shut his mouth and would not allow me to feed him. So we went back to the basics! He has now had sweet potatoes, apples, pears, bananas, green beans, peas, and carrots. He has done amazing with them all and really has only turned away that combination that I tried to give him. We will be going back to making our own in about 2 weeks. I just wanted him to get use to eating before I tired my homemade ones which are a different texture.
Cooper got his first gash this week as well. The camera was on the coffee table and he decided to pull it off with the strap. It landed right on his head and left a small little mark. It only sent him back for about a minute then he was back at getting into EVERYTHING. I have now gone through the living room and removed anything from his reach. He has also banged his head a few times on the floor trying to crawl. He is still working on that so we have had to pick him up a few times and calm him down. Poor guy!
This week we also went to our first birthday party. One of his friends River had her first birthday party. He had a great time laying on the blanket outside and taking everything in. He loved all the bright colors that they decorated with and was so busy watching the other kids run around. A raccoon decided to come out for a visit while we were there which did make me a little nervous but it stayed off the deck we were on and just ate then left :)
Both Rob and I feel that Cooper will be breaking through teeth really soon. He has been running a slight fever all week and has just been a little off. We can feel a few teeth right under the skin so it is just a matter of time.
He is now pulling himself up on his bouncy chair and will pull himself to standing while holding your fingers. It is so amazing how strong he is getting and just a reminder of how little time is left before he is running around the house.
Because he was not able to get his shots last week because of his fever we will be going this week so that will not be fun. We will also be moving a week from now so we will be spending the majority of our time this week getting ready for that.

7 weeks 2 days old
Today we went back to the doctor and found out that we are due on April 7th 2010. Our little one has arms and legs and a strong beating heart. I am still feeling good though I should not start feeling sick for a couple of more weeks.
It was great to see that everything was fine and that our little one is still growing and doing well.

6 month check up
Cooper had his 6 month check up yesterday. He did great! He was so expressive and laughed the entire time. He weighed in at 17lb 7.5oz and was 26 inches long. His bucket head is measuring almost 17 inches! He is still 50% in weight and about 48% in height. His head is in the 75th percentile! He had a slight fever when we got there, 99.9 so they wanted to check him one more time before they gave him his shots. When they took it again he was at 100.3, so we did not have the shots done. He is still running a fever today and has started to get a little cranky and just wants me to hold and cuddle him...so I think we are looking at cutting teeth really soon :) I have been just watching his fever but the doctor did not seem too concerned and said if it would make us feel better she would run labs on him. We both thought that was not what was needed yet because he is still acting like Cooper, for the most part :)
Either way we have to go back once his fever gets down a bit, but besides that his next wellness check is at 9 months!
I go tomorrow to see how far along we are with baby #2! Stay tuned :)

Food!
Cooper is trying all sorts of new foods. He likes sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, pears, plums, and bananas. Now that he is going to be 6 months we are going to start trying some combos.
He really took to being fed and has no problems...can you tell :) He still drinks way more then he eats but I am sure as the months go by he will start needing more food.

Found my toys
Now that Cooper is moving around more he is getting into everything. This morning he found his basket of toys. Got it pulled over, all his toys out, and got into the basket. He also likes to get into the entertainment center and play with the dvd player, cd player, and remotes. He is a fan of all cd's and dvd's as well.

On the move
Cooper almost has crawling down. He can get to what he wants very quickly if we don't keep an eye on him. He really likes to go after his toys!
If your happy and you know it...
Cooper has been watching all of his videos and his favorite song right now is if your happy and you know it. He gets very happy watching it and is enjoying learning to clap!
ENJOY!

What a helper
Cooper is really enjoying helping mom and dad around the house. He has to touch everything and feel like he is part of what is going on. The other day Rob was working in the office and Cooper had to get involved. It was cute to see the two of them working together! Cooper really felt like he was helping!
Cooper News
Cooper has introduced a few new things this week. First of all we gave him a sippy cup for the first time and he LOVED it. He looked like such a big boy holding it and drinking away out of it :)
He is also moving around more. His new favorite spot is under the coffee table in the living room. He gets under there and it is hard to get him out. It is like his own little fort.
We can't believe that he is almost 6 months old. He is doing so many more things each day.
7 weeks pregnant

The first question I get asked is how I am feeling. For having a almost 6 month old at home I am feeling great. I don't know why but I don't feel as tired as I remember feeling the first time around. But I am also busy all day with Cooper so I don't have time to think about it. I know I will enjoy Cooper's 2 naps a day in the near future when I will need a nap myself :)
I feel great though not sick yet but we are only half way to 13 weeks! We go to the doctor on Thursday and should have a better idea then about how far along I am and when we are due. But according to my math we should be do around the 19th or 20th of March 2010.
I am already hearing people are thinking its a boy again. Though that would be awesome I am really wishing for a girl to finish up our family. This is it! After this Rob and I are done having kids...so boy or girl its the last one!!!
We are all very excited and can't wait to hear from the doctor that everything is ok and on track!

I'm a BIG Brother
Cooper found out this week that he is going to be a big brother. He has NO idea what this means but in March 2010 we will be welcoming a new little baby to our world. Our kids will be 13 months apart which I have heard has its ups and down. We are up for the challenge and very excited about our new little addition to this family.
We are due March 20th which is also Grandma Schelle's birthday. We also have so many birthdays right around that date so it will be interesting to see which one it lands on. Rob is hoping for St. Patrick's Day which will also make the baby exactly 13 months apart.
