Cooper's first for his 2nd year

Cooper went to the doctor this week for his 1 year check up. He did awesome and the doctor was so amazed how good he was just sitting there and letting her examine him. He is 22.7lbs and 28 inches. He is still in the 50% for weight and 75% for his head but we are now in the 10% for height. She did not seemed concerned and so we were not either. He is doing great with walking and is all over the place. We are still working on running which is a little harder. He had 3 shots while we were at the doctor which he hated. She said our next trick would be climbing on chairs, tables, and anything else he can get his hands on.

The day after we had his doctors visit I took him to get his first haircut. His hair was nuts, so it was time. He did great and sat calmly on my lap the entire time. He loved the sucker that she gave him and that kept his mind off of what she was doing. He now looks like a little boy, so cute. I would have loved to get more pictures but I had to hold him so there was no one to get the pictures taken.

34 weeks

We are now into our 34th week of pregnancy and like this cartoon I feel like I am going to the bathroom all the time. I am now up every 2 hours at night. I have this feeling all the time that I have to go yet when I get there NOTHING.

I went back to the doctor this week and things are still about the same. My blood pressure was 138/83 which the doctor said she was not too concerned about because it is staying consistent. I am also still measuring 2 weeks bigger, which she is also not concerned with considering it has been that way for a while. The baby is head down and is sitting very low. Dr. Esses said once labor begins it should not take us too long...I hope she is right.

Besides that I am still up doing the same things. Cooper has officially gone to one nap a day which is very hard on my when I am in need of an afternoon nap and can't get one in. I feel great though and besides just ready to have a baby no major issues. I have still been having contractions daily so lets hope that is moving us in the right direction.

Cooper's 1st Birthday Party

Last night we had Cooper's birthday party at Mitchell's. It was a great time and Cooper was excited the entire time. Some of the people that we have met from around the area came by and we had about 20 guest. Cooper loved his cake and did not have a doubt what to do with it.

We had a banner of Cooper from birth to now and everyone loved seeing how much he had grown and how big he had got.
Cooper was the life of the party and was so happy and excited the entire time. When his buddy Henry got there he really had fun playing with him and getting into all kinds of trouble!

We got him home and in bed about 8pm and he crashed! (I was a little worried with all the cake he had ate)

Now we have to look forward to next year and all the new things he will be doing.

Cooper's 1 Today

Today our little man is 1 years old. Rob and I can remember how unprepared we were as we left the doctors office and took the walk over to labor and delivery. I was so nervous when the doctor said that we were ready to begin the process. A day later we had Cooper and what a whirlwind it has been from there.
From our rocky start with NICU to a 1 year old that is running, jumping, and jabbing away. He is becoming more and more independent every day and Rob and I watch in amazement as he discovers the world around him. He is working so hard on talking and seems to have full conversations with us daily. Everyday he gets faster and faster with his walking as I get slower and slower :)
He is a great eater and will eat all veggies we put in front of him, as long as it is the first thing we give him. He loves fruit and almost anything his dad gives him!

He has such a personality and is so funny but will sit and watch a room and take everyone in. He loves to be around other kids and has such a kind heart when it comes to them. If one is crying he feels so bad and will start to cry too. He loves to cuddle with us and get plenty of hugs and kisses.

He knows about 5 different signs that really help him communicate with us. And he can say about 4 words (mom, dad, hot, no, yes). I think he tries more but we don't understand them yet. I think he has just picked up on the ones we use the most with him, guess we better start using delicious more :)

Overall we can't believe this year has flown by and in just a short month Cooper will have a little sister to watch over and teach all of his tricks to. We are in store for another busy year so here we go!

Valentine's Day

This is Cooper's first Valentine's Day and though both Mom and Dad are working he did have a very fun week. Tuesday we went to a play date and had a really good time and then had a huge play date on Friday for Valentine's Day. He had a blast playing with all the kids and toys and it was a great few hours for me to visit with some other moms in the area.

32 Weeks

We are now in our 32nd week of pregnancy. Our doctors visit this week went very well and we got some important questions answered. I gained 3lbs this week but the doctor said it was normal to have one visit with a small weight gain then the next time see a jump, so I guess we are still on track there :) My blood pressure was down from our last visit 2 weeks ago which was good news. Still a little high from where I was before but still nothing that is concerning her. We talked to her more about our move in April and she agreed to induce us at 39 weeks which would be April 1st. She also suggested trying a few things starting at 37 weeks to get the process moving. So really anytime between the 21st and the 1st we will have a baby. Rob and I are still praying for the 28th or 29th which would be perfect with his time off and the move. But only time will tell.

Still feeling about the same just moving a little slower these days. I am working 3-4 days a week which has not been an issue yet so we will just have to wait and see how long I can keep it up. My last day at work is scheduled for the 15th of March so I really only have one more month. Overall just ready to have this baby and have my body start moving back into a more "normal" state. Our next visit is in two weeks and then we are on weekly visits till the baby arrives.

Superbowl 2010

This was Cooper's first superbowl! He had a great time with everyone. Rob had a few of his employees come over for the afternoon and the game. We all ate way to much, but enjoyed the time with everyone and the game. We were all bummed that the Colt's did not pull it off but it was a great game.

Cooper loved hanging out and having everyone play with him. He really got excited for the game too. Enjoy the pictures.

Happy Little Man

Just had a few shots of Cooper that were really cute. Aunt Kimmie and Uncle Justin got him a cool heartbreaker shirt for Valentine's day and he looks so cute in it. He is such a ham...enjoy!

31 Weeks Pregnant

I feel like I have had no time this pregnancy to really follow the growth of our little girl. With as busy as Cooper keeps me I am lucky enough to remember what week I am. So today being 31 weeks pregnant I decided I would post about what our little lady is doing these days. Mostly growing but some fun new tricks to help her get ready for her arrival in March or April :)

As far as size our little lady is about 18 inches right now and weighing in around 3lbs. She should still gain about 3-5 more pounds before she is born.

Her little brain is working in overtime from now till she is born and she is able to experience all 5 senses now. She is also able to make faces, hiccup, swallow, breath, paddle both her hands and feet against my stomach, and suck her thumb. She is a very busy girl getting ready to join all of us here.
I can tell she is growing and she is getting stronger by the day. She still lets me know she is there with very strong kicks and punches.

Birthday Month

Well we are entering February and getting ready for Cooper's 1st birthday party. I have been working on getting everything in order for the big day. Ordered the cakes, invites, and began his special banner I am making him.

He is still so much fun and so funny. He is loving copying Rob and doing what he does. I got him trying to put a tie on the other day like his daddy does. We can't wait to see what all he will amaze us with this next year.
