Birthday Party

Cooper had his birthday party with some of his friends at Friendship park. It was such a beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was so warm. They had a great time playing with all of the kids and running around. I went overboard with the decorations and food, but everyone had a great time!

His theme was trains and we asked that everyone just donate money to The March of Dimes instead of getting Cooper a gift...though everyone came with a gift as well.

The menu was completely geared towards the toddlers, but everyone loved the PB&J roll-ups. Cooper loved his juice boxes and the cheese tray. He attacked the food the moment he walked into the park. He did not enjoy being sang to he just wanted to be free to play.

Overall it was a great day and we feel blessed that we had so many people show up and hang out for a couple of hours with Cooper.

Discovery Launch

This last week was, FINALLY, the launch of Discovery. It is the last time they will be launching this ship so it was extra special. We have been waiting since October for this launch so I was not even sure it was going to happen. We almost went over to the coast to see the launch but with my fear of it not taking off and my fear of being stuck in traffic with my children I decided letting Cooper watch it at home was a better option. So we watched the entire prelaunch and the entire time Cooper was counting. They liftoff! I just had to get a video so Cooper could see someday that he saw the last launch!

And she's off...

Just in the last few weeks Caddie has taken off walking. For 2 months now we would see a few steps here and a few steps there but not like this. She is all over the place and is starting to get brave and is trying to go faster. It makes her so happy to walk now and she just squeals with delight when you make a big deal out of it.

I found the markers

We have a junk closet. It holds everything that does not have a home! This is also the closet that I put Cooper's craft supplies. Well he has figured out how to get into this closet and the other day found the markers. Lucky for me he was more interested in coloring himself then he was the walls or the furniture. Once he figured out that he was a mess he was very unhappy about having marker all over him and wanted to be "clean". Time to move the markers up a few more shelves.

His birthday cake

Cooper turned 2 on the 17th. We decorated the house for him when he got up and he noticed it right away. I took him to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast and he was given 2 donut holes! He loved them and they were gone before we even got home.

He had a doctor's appointment as well that morning. He is in perfect health and doing great growing. He is 27lbs and 32 inches, which is in the 50% for weight and 5% for height! The doctor was pleased with his language skills and how well he was able to communicate.
From the doctor we took him to the park for a little play time! He had a blast playing with all the kids and swinging!
That night we took him out for his favorite food, Mexican. He had balloons and cake and had a great time opening up all of his gifts.
Overall it was a great 2nd birthday! Now it's time for his party in a week...

Shapes

Cooper has been learning his shapes, colors, and numbers. He is doing really well and can point out most of his shapes without problems. He can count to 6 without help and then can get to 9 with you counting with him. I asked him yesterday what came after 9 and he said 9. I told him it was 10 and he said "No Mama 9....yea!" He is hot and cold with his colors but has most of the primary down plus pink and purple. Green seems to be his favorite color because he points it out everywhere we go.

Stinky

Cooper has been becoming more vocal about when he needs to go potty and when he has gone potty in his diaper. I was able to get a video of him telling me he went poop in his diaper. It is so funny and we laugh about it all the time.

Caddie's New Tricks

Day by day Caddie is picking up new tricks. She is clapping now, waving bye-bye, and making all kinds of sounds. She is walking a little more, though prefers to crawl because it is faster! She is getting so big.

New Valentine's Day Shirts

I wanted to do something special for the kids for Valentine's day so I contacted a friend I made in Destin, FL. She makes shirts for kids and I had her make a few for the kids. They turned out so cute I just had to get some pictures of them. They both look so cute!! I can't wait for our Valentine's play date for them to wear them again.

Downtown Disney

My Mom and Robert were in for the weekend and we wanted to get out on Monday and do something fun. We had planned on heading to the beach but when we woke up to find it a little chilly and cloudy we decided to head down to Disney instead. They have an area called Downtown Disney, which is free. It was great just to walk around and look at everything. We also got the kids their first set of ears! It was a fun afternoon.

Superbowl

Sunday was a sad day at the Schelle home. First of all it was officially the last football game of the year, and our team once again did not win. But we had a blast celebrating with family and friends. We had a huge party with way too much food! Cooper and Caddie had a blast running around and they even were able to end their night with a cupcake. It was great time with everyone!

Just some Caddie

Just some pictures of our wild child!! She is all over the place :)

Play dough

Today was an inside day for us, so Cooper and I made some homemade play dough. He had a blast playing with it and cutting out trees with a cookie cutter.
