Caddie Anne 13 Months

Caddie just turned 13 months. It is hard to believe that Cooper was her age when she was born. She is our little miss independent. She has to be into everything that her big brother is into and does not like to be told no. She is a great sleeper and we are so blessed that she takes good naps and always goes down at night and stays down. She does have a temper though and she is not afraid to show it. She hates to be in her car seat and will make that totally clear to whomever is driving.

She is starting to communicate more and will listen to you when she wants. She has started to use the sign more to let you know she wants more food, which is much better then the grunts we were getting before. She will come and take your hand and walk you over to things she wants. She can say dada, mama, and mul (which means milk). The rest is just babble that I have yet to determine what it means. She cannot say as much as Cooper did at this age, but I don't think she needs to with jibber jabber Cooper around.

She is eating like crazy and there is not too much she does not like. We have been working on getting rid of the bottle and we are down to only 3 a day the rest of the time she is using a sippy. I am so ready to get rid of all of the bottles from the house and get some space back.

She is all over the place and is our little daredevil. She will climb on anything she can get a leg up on. I turn around for a second and she is scaling something else.

Cooper and her are getting along great and are really starting to play nice with each other. They are slowly learning to share and not fight over toys.

She is really getting to be her own person and I can't wait to see what more she will be doing a few months from now.

This week we decided to take Cooper and Caddie out for the day and enjoy some of the nice weather before it gets to be too hot. Rob has been wanting to see Gatorland since we moved here last year. Gatorland in this park that sits in the middle of a swamp that they have made a refuge for gators. It was really neat and the kids loved it. We were able to walk through the swamp, watch some guys wrestle the gators, and see all kinds of other animals.

There was also a splash park within gatorland that the kids loved. It was perfect and completely shut in so we could just let them run.

Overall it was just a fun relaxing day enjoying some of Florida's wildlife.

More from Coloring Eggs

This is some video from the day Cooper and I colored Easter Eggs. He was having a blast.

Hanging out with Justina

Justina is our babysitter and the kids adore her. She takes them outside to play and always has fun new activities to do with them. In the last couple of weeks it has been getting warm out so she came up with a fun game with a bus tub. Little did she know we do have a small little pool for the kids :) Enjoy the video she took of them.

Coloring eggs with Cooper

Cooper loves to color and is in love with all the different colors, so I thought it would be a good year to let him color eggs. He had a blast and each egg got a bath in every color. It was so much fun to see him so excited over the eggs having colors on them. I think next year will be even better but it was a blast to have this time with him this year!

Our new addition to the family

After a year of saving and putting money aside we finally went out last week and got a new car. We were a 1 car family for about 15 months so it is extra nice to have the 2nd car back. We bought a 2008 Mercury Mariner and it is perfect. Super clean and just the right size for our growing kids. I love having more room in the trunk to hold a stroller and bags :) It has been huge not having to get up every morning and take Rob to work or pick him up when he is done. Rob loves having the car and being able to leave when he is ready. We are so thankful for this car!

Cooper's Bedtime pals

Cooper needs to have all of his "Cooper" bears with him each time he goes down for a nap or goes to bed at night. And each Cooper has his spot in the bed. When he gets up all Cooper's have a place to go and he puts them all away. It is just so cute to see him get his bed in order each night.

Easter Egg Hunts

This year we had 2 Easter egg hunts that we were going to. They just happen to land on the exact same day. The kids had a blast and sure got a kick out of the activity. The first hunt was put on by my MOPS (mother's of preschoolers) group. It was held at a local park in the morning. It was a great park but Cooper kept getting bit by all kinds of bugs so we only stayed an hour.

Our playgroup hosted the second one and it was in the afternoon. It was great but there were bigger kids there so Cooper and Caddie did not get many eggs, though they had a blast :)

Lets Go Bulter

We were able to take a night and head out to watch the NCAA finals with some friends. We were also blessed to have some great friends in from Indianapolis to come hang out with us. It was a great night out, would have been better if Butler had won :)

Getting ready for Easter

Cooper and Caddie got a neat package in from Aunt Kimmie a couple of weeks ago. One of the items were these really neat bunny ears. The kids are having a blast wearing them around the house and playing with them.

A day at the Circus

Having a blast!

What does this do?

Running

Enjoying some popcorn

Clown in the making

Checking out all the action

Cooper loves bikes

taking a walk with Dad

Rob surprised us with a day out at the circus. The kids had a great time seeing all the animals and clowns. Cooper would have stayed all day watching the acts but it was Caddie's nap time and she was making it known to everyone. We can't wait till next year when Caddie is a little older and will enjoy it more.
