Halloween Party

Our first Halloween party was on Monday October 24th. Our playgroup had it at the library. The kids had a craft, playtime, and a parade. The Mom's had snacks and a few moments to chat :)

Cooper and Caddie are Little "Red" Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf! I was happy they got to get a little use out of the costumes :)

We love to color

Coloring in our house is a staple. We do it all day long...and the kids love it. Sometimes it is the ONLY thing that calms them down. We have started adding in paints and stamps but that is only when they are super good and not in a bad mood! (it can turn bad quick)

We have also been taking pictures of Cooper next to the wonderful paintings he brings home from preschool and we are in the process of making a photo book out of them so I don't have 500 paintings all over the house. It has been fun to have him pose next to his works of art and he enjoys helping me name them and arrange the picture in his book!

Happy Halloween!

Last year we were in Indiana for a visit the week of Halloween so we were unable to do any of the things our playgroup had planned. But this year we are in town and have a full schedule of fun things to do! These are just some of the pictures I took of the kids in their new halloween shirts! More Halloween fun to come...

We got the FLU!

We got hit hard with a bug when we returned from Indiana. In fact we are just now getting back to "normal". Cooper was the first to get hit and boy did that little guy get it. Poor guy was throwing up for 3 days and it took almost 5 days for him to finally feel back to himself. Caddie had it for about a day and we took her in and got a shot that stopped the vomiting. Then Rob got it bad and I was the last but it didn't hit me as hard as everyone else...thank goodness!

It was a week of washing, washing, and more washing. I did more laundry then I care to think about. But now the house it totally clean and we are all healthy :)

Our Fall Trip to Indiana

We had a great time visiting Family in Indiana a few weeks ago. We were able to plan our trip so we could take Cooper to his first ND game! He had a blast and we had so much fun hanging with him all day on campus.

The kids got to see all of their Grandparents and most of the extended family. Such a busy week but totally worth seeing them hang out with their relatives.

I took WAY too many pictures so you can view them all by clicking HERE.

Butterfly Encounter

We have a nursery near our house that has a greenhouse they had turned into a butterfly encounter. We had never gone so with the nicer weather out Rob and I decided to take the kids one morning. Cooper and Caddie loved it and I am still being asked daily if we can go back! It was so neat to see all the different butterflies and to be able to feed them!

Reading before bed

As long as I can remeber with Cooper we have been reading book before bed. Over the past 2 years he has found a few that have become "favorites". These books seem to come off the shelf more. One of his favorites is "Oh My Oh My Dinosaur". He loves to read this to us every night!

ABC's

Cooper has been working hard on his ABC's. It doesn't help that every time I turn around there is a different version out! But his favorite is from a show he watches called Super Why! If you are not familar with Super Why it is a great show that deals with reading, spelling, and problem sloving. It is one of the shows Rob and I enjoy him watching.

The other night he was in the tub just going to town on his ABC's so I just had to capture it on video! He is being a little silly but that is a true 2 year old. Enjoy :)
