An Update

Wow I feel like it has been forever since I did an update on the kids. They just keep me so busy and I end up posting about what we are doing day in and day out that I forget to post about what they are doing RIGHT NOW!

Cooper is a short 2 months away from turning 3. He is the coolest little kid and everyone just falls in love with him. Such a personality and so funny! He loves to sing, dance, play on the computer, cars, trucks, planes, and anything with wheels! He loves to play outside and remembers everything. He comes up with the craziest things and says so many funny things. He has a great laugh and just loves to be held. We are in the middle crazy phase of him wanting to still be the baby but also a big boy. So we go from using the potty to wanting to put a diaper back on. I am staying calm with the process and not pushing anything! In time he will be ready!

He is doing great in school and is always looking forward to seeing his friends every week. We have been blessed with some great families around us!

He knows his alphabet and can count up to 20. He knows all of his colors and can tell you all the letters and numbers when you ask him to point them out. He can work the tv, computer, and wii without a problem.

His favorite shows are Super Why, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Little Einsteins. He is getting into movies now, because of Daddy taking him to the show! He loves All Dogs Go To Heaven, Cars, and just in the last week Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Caddie is only 3 months away from being 2. She has entered that wonderful phase of the terrible 2's. One second she is our perfect little angel and the next she is our little monster with a mind of her own :)

She is starting to talk more, which is hard with a big brother that is always talking. She can say about 10-15 words and knows how to let you know what she wants. She knows most of her animal sounds and can point ou all of her body parts. She knows her name and all of us as well. She has a few little friends that she knows the names of as well.

She is a climber and is always on the move. She is in the tumble class at the YMCA and the teacher is amazed at what she is able to do already. She can keep up with the kids Cooper's age.

She loves shoes, dress-up, and anything with glitter. She will sit for hours and color or draw. She loves to chase after her brother and they play well together most of the time :)

She wants to sit on the potty whenever Cooper does so this process is always a fun time for me :)

They are both so excited about the Christmas lights and the tree this year. So we are excited to see how they do on Christmas :)

A visit to Santa

Watching Santa walk in

So much to look at

Watching everything happen

The temptation to touch

You always get a better view when you stand on the rails

Caddie was not liking this Santa

My friends told me about this Santa at one of the largest malls in our area and everyone agreed that it was the "best" in the area. Boy were they not kidding. This was a production!!! The line went around Santa and every inch was decorated with lights, bows, toys, and moving parts. The kids loved looking at everything and I even got a picture of them with Santa, though Caddie did not like him very much. But I think you can agree that this year was so much better than last year :)

Christmas Photos

Every year I try and get a family photo. This is a challenge but each year I try! I have a friend my my playgroup that takes pictures and she was able to take some for us at a local park. It was a great setting with the railroad tracks right there and some beautiful colors.

Not an easy shoot but I think most of the pictures came out great!

Trick or Treat

There is not much to say about Halloween night so this post will mostly be pictures, which tell the whole story :)

The kids had a blast. We went out a little early, 6pm, and took them around to a few of the neighbors for them to get candy. Cooper caught on very early and began to ring the door bells multiple times followed by him and Caddie pounding on the side windows of the doors!

After about 10 houses we had enough candy and headed home. Rob cooked out dinner and we all sat on the driveway and handed out candy. About 7pm we were getting a little bummed that we were not getting more kids, so I took our kids in for a bath. About 7:30pm the streets opened up and we got slammed with kids. It didn't hurt that 2 houses down from us they had turned their entire home into a hunted house. People were coming from 3 neighborhoods over to see it. The kids loved seeing all the costumes and even the ones they were scared of the kids would take the masks off and let them see their faces.

Overall they ate too much candy and stayed up way to late...but hey isn't that what Halloween is all about :)

Trunk or Treat

A local church by our home hosted a neighborhood trunk or treat. If you have never been to one of these THEY ARE AWESOME. Usually held at a church and sponsored by the church. This one had hot dogs, popcorn, a cake walk, games, a playground, and the trunks with all the treats.

Cooper and Caddie had a blast and it was totally worth the 30 minutes we had to wait in line. They had lined all the cars along this circular path. They were all decorated and some had little games for the kids to play (this is what took so long hence the long wait). Everyone was so sweet and it gave the kids great practice for the BIG NIGHT!
