Caddie's 2nd Birthday

Having Cooper and Caddie 13 months apart does not give us a ton of time between parties! So project Caddie's 2nd Birthday is in full swing. In a short few weeks we will be celebrating her turning 2 and I have no idea how she got so big! She is in love with color and all things that sparkle so it was only fitting that we give her a princess rainbow party!

Cooper's Party

Happy Birthday Banner waving in the wind!
Kids racing with cars

Who thought running with a box could be so much fun :)

Getting ready to race!

Happy Birthday to Cooper!

Two buds ready for cake!

The "cars" themed food

red icing anyone :)

Cooper's bedroom door and cupcakes

Sunday was Cooper's 3rd birthday party and this year we were getting ready for race weekend by having a race car theme! Cooper loves cars and racing so this was perfect for him. The invites were race tickets and we included his favorite color red in EVERYTHING.

The food we stayed along the lines of cars and racing. We had a hot dog bar with all the fixings and Daddy even steamed the buns! I made a stoplight pasta salad with red, yellow, and green peppers. We had stoplight cookies, dip stick pretzels, and donut wheels.

Plenty of banners and balloons finished off the back yard.

Justina made cars out of wine boxes that the kids were able to race with and all the kids made license plates.

Overall the kids all had a blast! Cooper loved his party and is now excited for Caddie's :)

Dear Cooper...

Last year I started writing letters to the kids for their birthdays. This is something I hope they can look back on years from now and see themselves through my eyes...

Dear Cooper,

Tomorrow you turn 3! Your daddy and I cannot believe how quickly you went from this tiny baby to the big boy we have walking around our house! You are so loving, kind, smart, funny, and full of energy! You are the coolest little boy we know!

What a difference a year has made. You have full conversations with us and you remember so much. You make our days with the things you find funny and how quickly you are to laugh. Joy just flows out of you!

You love cars, trucks, planes, and all things boys! You love to race and jump! You love animals and going to Sea World. You love football and racing like your Dad, and your favorite driver is Kyle Busch though it drives your Daddy nuts! :)

You love to eat hot dogs and Mexican food! You ask for carrots and corn which always makes me feel good. You love "butter on your toast" for breakfast which is just buttered toast and cinnamon. You love school and all of your friends!

You are such a big boy and so close to being completely potty trained. You go most days in big boy pants, though we still have accidents.

My favorite times with you are tucking you in at night! I am able to get so many hugs and kisses and you love to be tucked in tight. I love the times when it is just you and me and we can sneak away to go to the store! We always bake together and you are a great cup cake maker!

Daddy loves to take you to movies, the beach, the race track, and Sea World. He loves how smart you are and how you can let him know which way to drive. :) You are his little helper to wash the car and grill out!

You have a favorite blanket that has to be the last blanket that put on you each night. Rexy is your favorite little buddy though you have about 6 that hang out to watch over you each night.

You are a great listener and most of the time are willing to obey! You do have your moments like a normal 3 year old little boy!

You are a great big brother and are always looking out for your little sister. You two love to jump on your bed, play hide and seek, and get into trouble together! You always try to include her unless your playing with your cars!

I can't believe how different you are from this time last year and know a year from now you will be doing so much more! We love you and are so proud of how big your getting! xoxoxo

Valentine's Day

Normally I am working all day on holidays, but because this one landed on a day that our sitter normally works I was able to have the day off to spend with the kids!

We had a blast putting together a little gift for Rob and taking it down to his work. We were able to have lunch with Daddy, which is always a treat. We went shopping and got a fun little gift from mommy and daddy! Dinner was heart shaped pancakes colored pink! After a good snuggle and some books about love it was night night for everyone :)

1st Valentine's Day Party

With Cooper being in school this year we have been able to do all the fun school parties! Valentine's day was so much fun. Cooper and I put together bags for all of his friends and brought them to school. They made treat bags to hold all their valentine's and had a very special party!

By the late afternoon Cooper was in a sugar coma and had gone through most of the sweets he had been given! It was so cute to hear him talk about his day with his friends and look at each valentine to see who it was from! What a very special 1st Valentine's Day at school!

Super Bowl Sunday

Bacon Explosion...enough said!
Getting ready for the game!

Starting up the grill!

Our little Princess!

If you know anything about our house Football Sunday is HUGE! We make plans around the games and Rob and I are ALWAY off! So Super Bowl Sunday was no different! We had a few friends over to watch the game with us and had a blast making food and hanging out with the kids. Though none of our teams were in the big game we loved seeing the Giants win!!!

Great food, great friends, great game!!! Sounds like an awesome day :)

Strawberry Picking

The weather has been amazing in FL and that shows by the number of strawberries that are ready to be picked. The fields are full and we have taken advantage of this beautiful weather to get outside and enjoy it! The kids just love picking the "red ones" and not the "green ones". In fact I think they eat most of them! It is a great morning out and I have enjoyed making a few special things with the berries we are able to bring home!

A Kid's Gym

Our playgroup has been lucky enough to have enough members attend events that we get pretty good deals on things. One of our favorite activities to do is the kid's gym. They have an hour class for the kids and it only cost me $5. You can't beat that. I had taken Cooper last year but Caddie was really too small till this year to really get into it. But this year she loves it and it amazes me how fearless she is. Hanging from the rings, going across the balance beam, hanging frm the bars. They have a blast and all the teachers are so amazing with them.
