Dear Caddie

Saturday is Caddie's 2nd birthday and what a big girl she is becoming!
Dear Caddie!
This last year has brought such changes with you. You are talking more and are always trying to tell us things. You know your colors and all you animals. You crack yourself up and have the cutest little laugh! You brighten our day with your smile.
You are still the sweetest little girl and love to just be held and cuddled. You still have the never ending will and determination that goes along with it. You have a drive and a fire in you that I pray will never go away. You are fearless and will always be the first to jump into the unknown. I am shocked at where I find you some days and what you are getting into.
You love to play dress up, read books, color, and you will spend hours with your play dough. You always have on someone Else's shoes and you have to have the accessories to go along with every outfit! You love to run with your brother and copy everything he does. You are such a little peanut and you use it to your benefit by winning everyone over! You are a true princess!
I am shocked at all you understand and you listen well, most of the time. You are potty training and you are doing great at letting me know when you have to go! I am so proud at what you can do!
You are the spark in your father's eye and your brothers sidekick! They love you to pieces and you win all battles with both of them. You are my little helper and you love the days we take Cooper to school and have all morning together.
You are such a joy to us all and I can't wait to see all you do and become!

A little more from St. Patty's Day

Just a few more pictures from my day with the kids

Our Princess

I remember a year ago being asked if Caddie was into all things girls and thinking to myself...no not really! The last 6 months she has become a little princess. She loves to play dress up and all things with a little sparkle to them. She has a crown she walks around in and is always trying to put on her play dresses herself. She loves new shoes, and is always up for a new outfit. I am just always amazed at how much she loves all things girls. So now if you were to ask me if she is into "girl" things...I would laugh and say "Oh YES!"

Caddie's New Obsession...

I painted Caddie's finger nails and toe nails a couple of weeks ago and now she is obsessed with putting color on her. Last week Rob and I were getting ready in the bathroom when we hear Cooper yell "NO, I don't want to be purple!" We go out to find that Caddie had opened a bottle of finger nail polish and had painted her toes and hands and was moving on to Cooper's toes.
We got them both cleaned up and back playing with a safe box of crayons and a coloring book and went back to getting ready. It got quiet and we just knew something was going wrong. We walk out to her holding a black marker and her legs covered with it. At that point I had to get a picture of her because we were laughing too hard!
She is all about color right now :)

Dinner Outside

I am always amazed how just changing a little thing can make the kids so excited. The last few weeks it has been so nice out that the kids have been begging to eat outside. So the other night I gave in. I had just picked up a fresh watermelon and thought it was the perfect time to eat out on the patio :)
The kids loved it and it felt great to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today was the first time I really thought Cooper could get into a holiday. So I went all out :) I thought how much fun it would be for him to wake and find the house all messed up due to a visit from a Leprechaun.
So I stayed up and decorated the house with green footprints, glitter, and gold coins. Change the toilet water green and hung streamers on each of their doors. We piled up all the stuffed animals from their rooms on the couch...because Leprechauns cause trouble :)
It was just a fun way to celebrate this holiday and let the kids get involved. I got a video of Cooper checking it out. You can watch it by clicking HERE.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! GO IRISH :)

Potty Training

I noticed I have not hit on what milestones we have been hitting at our home the last couple of months. I can official say that as of about 2 weeks ago Cooper is fully potty trained. I had always joked that we were just going to wait and potty train both kids at the same time....well that is almost how it has happened. Cooper is great about telling us when he has to go potty and right behind him is always Caddie. She is now wearing pull-ups most days and she is amazing at holding and going on the potty.

I have been amazed at what she is doing and how it has pushed Cooper to be better!

Now I will say the M&M's, stickers, and gum that I give them also helps :)

So we keep pressing on towards a household of NO MORE DIAPERS!!!
