Dear Cadence

Wow can you already be 3? It seems like yesterday I was finding out we were going to be having you now life does not even seem possible without you in it.

You are so funny and such a little love bug! You have such a sweet spirit but are so strong willed. You are a true mix of your father and I.

We smile daily and the things you do and what you say. You light up the room and our lives daily.

You are your brother's best friend, your Mommy's sidekick, and Daddy's little girl. We all adore you!

It has been so special to see you make friendships and how excited you are to see them and plan time with them.

You are a girlie girl loving all things pink, purple, and sparkly. You have yet to see a princess you did not love.

You are my little artist. You could sit for hours and paint or color with markers. You love your play dough and cutting with scissors.

This year has brought about so many changes in you and yet so much has stayed the same. You bring joy, laughter, and love to anyone that comes in contact with you.

Happy Birthday to my sweet peanut.

Xoxo,
Mommy

Easter Fun at School

The PTO at the kids school out on entire day of Easter activities. They were able to dye Easter eggs, hunt for eggs, color Easter pictures, and see the Easter Bunny.

They had a blast and it was so much fun to see them with their class.

Because both of my kiddos are in the school I often get to "volunteer" for these special days. This time they allowed me to be the Easter Bunny for an hour. (Insert sarcastic tone) The suit was a little uncomfortable but I was getting in my groove when the last group came through. They were the 5 and 6 year olds and way too smart. One kid looked at me and said that is not a real bunny. Before I knew it I had a swarm of kids attacking me trying to get the paws off of me and one went for the head. I had to let out a scream for help because all the parents were busy with other things. I felt like I was in a movie or being punked. Haha overall a great day and one I will for sure hold over my children's head for years to come.

Easter Concert at School

I just love the school we have the kids in. They do so much for the kids and the families. One if the best things are the concerts that they put on.

All the kids sing songs and it is awesome to see how excited they get when they find you in the crowd.

Cooper kept his song under tight wraps this time. He was not letting me in on any details. I got "Mom you have to wait till your at the school! We are going to take your shoes off!"

It was precious and warms my heart that they are surrounded by people that love them so much.

We went egging.

I found this cute idea on Pinterest and wanted to try it with the kids this year.

It works like this. You take 12 plastic eggs to a friends house and hide them in the yard. You leave them a note that explains all but one are filled and the empty one represents that Jesus is Risen! They are not suppose to know who dropped them off and then they are to egg someone else.

Well the theory was great but here were my issues. 1st everyone lives in a gated community down here and you can't get in without letting them know. So the kids and I walked. The second issue was that a 3 and 4 year old want to see their friend when you are at their house and neither one keeps a good secret very well.

Needless to say they found out it was us, but we still had fun doing it and will for sure make it a tradition for next year!

St. Patricks's Day

Who knew that St Patricks Day would be such a HUGE event in South Florida? But Rob was told it would be his busiest day of the year and it was proved true with his 15 hour day and $164,000 in his restaurants alone taking his weekly total to over $500,000 for 4 restaurants. If you don't know what that translate to it is a ton of Beer and Corn Beef!

The kids and I had some fun too. Our tradition of a visit from a Leprechaun excited the kids and the breakfast of lucky charms made their day.

From there we went to lunch at the Pub with some friends we met here and had a great visit.

Though daddy had a long day he had a blast serving beer out of the beer truck and enjoyed the nonstop action of the day. It did take him 2 full days to recover though :).

A very special delivery

One of the coolest things about Rob's new job are the opportunities it gives the kids.

A few weeks ago The Pub had it's Bud Delivered by the Clydesdale Horses. It was so cool to see how big they were and how gentle they were. The kids got a huge kick out of seeing them all lined up and we even saw them parade through the shopping center.

Not too many kids get to experience this. In fact this is my first contact with them and I am in my 30's. My kids have no clue how cool their life it!

Thank Goodness for Wellness Visits

When we moved to South Florida I did not look for a doctor for the kids. We had just had their yearly visit and I was praying they would stay healthy. Well to my luck they did till last week....

They picked up a nasty bug and both ran fevers for almost 3 days. Like a good mother I was also out of all fever reducers and cough syrups in the house as well. Lucky for me this sickness landed smack dab in the middle of their birthdays and a local doctor said to bring them in for their yearly exams and he would also make sure this bug was on its way out!

Cadence went first and we now have a 24lbs 36in almost 3 year old. Like normal she is not on the growth chart but continues to climb in her own curve so no worries from the doctor. We also addressed her speech problem, I will post more later, and he is also not concerned. She is very healthy he said and right on track.

Cooper went next and is 32lbs and 38.5in They did a hearing test as well as a sight test and he had a TB test as well as 2 shots and did amazing. In fact at one point he heard another little kid crying song said "that must be a baby because big boys don't cry, we're tough!"

They did amazing and I was so proud if how well behaved they were for the doctor and his staff!

Now if we can only not have another visit till next year!

Cooper's Birthday Celebrations

Well Mr. Cooper had a great birthday week. It started with a trip to Orlando and a day at Sea World. From there we had a great day at school and cake pops for all of our friends. We finished off the week with a warm sunny day playing miniature golf with our friends.

The kids had a blast running around the holes and all taking turns giving the balls a wack.

Like years past I had to choose a fun cupcake icing color for the kids turning everyone green...what to do next year?

Over all Cooper had a great week and a very memorable 4th birthday.
