25 weeks

25 weeks

Went this week for my 25 week visit. These visits are a total of 5 minutes long, which is good with Cooper he can't make it more then that. She measured me and I am right on track and our little girls heartbeat is strong and steady. Cooper could not figure out where the sound of her heartbeat was coming from so the doctor and I got a good laugh out of that one.

Next visit will bring on the glucose screening. That is an hour visit that also has a blood draw, which I hate. Most woman complain about the drink but that is not the part that bothers me, its the needle :)

I am doing well and staying active. I try to work out 2-3 times a week and that is still going well. The baby has been causing me to have a few issues with my nerves in my butt/upper leg. It has been a challenge to walk sometimes and getting Cooper up and down the stairs is a slow process some days. But the doctor said that it is normal for a 2nd time mommy with not a ton of time to just rest. So I have been trying to stretch it out and relieve some of the pain.

The doctor was happy with my weight gain, though it was a little more then I expected. I went a little crazy with the holidays! But she said I was a little under where I should be the last visit so she was happy to see a bit of a spike. I am on track to gain between 23-30lbs which is perfect!

Our little lady has been kicking like crazy and is getting stronger and stronger everyday. Rob can feel her more which is always fun! She is sitting lower then Cooper did so I feel a ton of kicks down low. She is still pretty small so she is able to move around more then she will be able to in the upcoming weeks.

Overall this pregnancy is very similar to mine with Cooper, though I have noticed I am getting fat in new places then I did with Coop :) Guess it is a girl thing! We only have 15 more weeks and a ton going on in that time period.

We will be moving to Orlando in March which brings on its own worries and challenges. There are pluses to this move and having the baby in Orlando. First of all there are more doctors in that area where here there are only 3 that deliver at the hospital. There are only 6 beds at this hospital where there is an entire floor dedicated to mom and baby in Orlando. There is also an NICU in Orlando. We are not expecting anything to go wrong but if it had here we would have had to airlift our little one to Panama City...no fun! So while it will be a new experience I think overall it will be better for us to do it this way. Plus who wants to try and move with a newborn....NOT ME!!

We will keep everyone posted on the progress in the weeks to come!
