My 32nd Birthday Celebration

Like always my husband makes my birthday very special!  This year we spent the night down on I-Drive.  For people who do not live in FL this is where everyone goes when they come to Orlando. Next to Disney this is the place to go. Tons of places to eat and sleep and it is where the convention center is.

I thought we were just doing dinner and a show but Rob surprised me with a stay at the Peabody!  It was amazing and just what we needed before we begin the move to South FL.

We started our night at Ocean Prime where we had some amazing food and really cool drinks. From there we went to The Pub for a launch party of their new private brew beer. It was then time for some good music at BeBe Kings. I finished my night with a piece of cake at the hotel before we crashed in the super comfy bed!

I was able to hear from everyone in our families and all my friends sent such wonderful wishes! It was a great birthday! I told Rob the next time I am feeling bummed about the move or the hours that he works I will remember the great night we had and remember it is because of his job that we are able to do such things! Thanks Rob for a wonderful birthday!

Our Little Monkey

We have had a few chances to go to open gyms with Caddie and she LOVES them. She is so tiny and fearless that she takes to it great!

She climbs up on the beams, hangs from the rings and uneven bars without fear, and flies down the mats with conviction!

She is a natural for sure and has a blast running around the gym! It will be something we look into soon!

Swim Lessons

Last week the kids started their swim lessons at the YMCA. It was amazing to see how quickly they caught on.

Cooper went first and had a private lesson with the instructor. He went without a fear in the world!  Got right into the water and moving around. The instructor said he would do great!

Caddie was in a parent/child class and took to the water like a fish! She did not have a problem at all!  In fact she was wanting to do more!

It made me realize that these lessons are important because both kids love the water and have no fear of it :)

A Quick Sunday Breakfast

Sunday is always the day that I wake up and think I am going to make the family breakfast.  We are all going to sit down and eat as a family while we discuss what we will be doing the rest of the day.

But when we all get out of bed, Cooper wants cereal, Caddie wants fruit, Rob starts coffee and gets on the computer, and I am left wondering what happened to my perfect morning.

SO I had to come up with an idea that would allow me to get breakfast on the table before everyone got moving!  This is my version of "quick" french toast :)

4 eggs
2/3 Cup Milk
3 TBLS brown sugar
1 tsp nutmeg

Pepperidge Farm Swirl Bread (We like the cinnamon, but I think the raisin would be yummy)
Pam baking spray
hot griddle

Mix all the ingredients and soak bread and place on hot griddle!  Trust me it took all of 10 minutes from start to finish :)

I only made one round and saved the batter for breakfast on Monday and Tuesday :)

Easter Sunday

Our service at First Baptist Oviedo

My babies all ready to go to church
The Fam!
It was so amazing to sing while the sun rose right in front of us!!
This year I made plans to go to a sun rise service with one of my friends. It was such an uplifting experience and one that I am so glad I did. We got up at 3:45 and left the house by 4:30. We got to Sea World at 5:30 and the service began at 6:30. The worship was wonderful then Angie Smith spoke about her experience with their daughter. If you have not heard of her I have linked her blog to her name, click on it you will be moved!
From there it was a quick breakfast and off to the 11am service with the family. From there we decided to do a traditional Easter lunch of BBQ :) We all loved it and then it was time for a nap. Over all it was a great day of spending time with my family and people that I love.

Egg Hunt

This year we had two egg hunts to go to. My MOPS group put on one and then our play group had another. Caddie went to the first alone as Cooper was in school that day. We decorated cookies, made Easter Cards, played on the swings, had an egg hunt, and got to visit with all of our friends.
The second was on Good Friday so Cooper was off of school. We had a huge pot luck and plenty of eggs for the kids to hunt. The minute we sent them out to hunt the eggs the sky opened up and we had a down pour of rain. Cooper and Caddie did not even mind. They stayed out and got all the eggs I would let them. After we got everyone under the pavilion the kids decided it was a great idea to go puddle jumping. At first I wanted to stop them from getting wet and dirty but then I figured you are only a kid once...enjoy it :)

Some Easter Fun

We have had so much fun with Easter so far...pictures to come! (I PROMISE) Today I was in the process of making some deviled eggs and decided it was time to color some eggs. Last year Cooper and I did this activity without Caddie so it was time to introduce her to this tradition :)
They loved it and I wish I had 5 dozen eggs to let them go CRAZY.
I also decided to do the coloring without a kit. Now to some that may seem like a no brainier but for as long as I remember we have always used a kit. But a little hot water, vinegar, and food coloring and we had homemade egg coloring kit. Super easy and the eggs turned out great! I used the neon food coloring to give the eggs a brighter color.

Our first day out with the hose!

The weather went from warm to HOT over night! The kids are loving the fact that we can get out and wash the cars. This is by far Cooper's favorite thing to do with Dad...and now our little Cadence is in on the act too :)
They love to just splash and have a blast with the hose! I think it is time to break out the pool for them :)
