Keeping busy!

The weather has been beautiful and I am enjoying the time out with the kids. But with Rob traveling more now it takes a little more of a toll on the kids so I have been having to get creative on activities.

Strawberry picking, indoor play areas, and our weekly visits to Ikea keep us busy most weeks then we like to throw in a visit to the park a few times a week and it keeps us busy!

Key Largo

This year for Christmas instead of gifts my mom rented a beach house for the week. You had to get there but the house was taken care of.

My brother was able to make it for the week and we had a blast. Just hanging at the beach, snorkeling, and having chill nights out on the town. It was a great break and the kids loved it.

The house was perfect for our family and we were able to just relax.

Here Come the Irish

This year was a great year for college football at our house. The Irish went undefeated and made it to the National Championship in Miami. In fact they were playing only 7 miles from our house.

So some of our family came in for the game and we had a blast, despite the outcome of the game.

We were able to get down to South Beach for the prep rally. Went down to tailgate and just had a great time visiting with everyone.

Fun at a Park in January?

Being from the Midwest it is a daily conversation at our house how blessed we are to be able to enjoy the outdoors this time if year.

The kids really are enjoying the longer park visits as in the summer it is way too hot to enjoy it. We love taking a lunch over and just enjoy being outside.

Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas Day. The kids had a blast opening up all their gifts and we had a great breakfast that I found in Pinterest.

From there we decided to head to the beach. It was packed but with it being such a pretty day the kids had a blast running around in the sand.

We came home and played some more and everyone crashed. A perfect ending to a hectic season.
