We had a really laid back 4th of July this year. Rob and I were both recovering from our very long day on Saturday. My Mom and Robert decided to head over to the beach so we spent the most of the day on the couch and playing with the kids. About 4pm we decided to head out and get Mexican. To our shock they were closed so within a half hour we had all the fixings to make a cookout. We had a few friends over and Mom and Robert made it back from the beach in time for dinner. So we had a very traditional 4th of July dinner with hamburgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, and strawberry shortcake. Rob also got a few boxes of sparklers for Cooper. We would have loved to take them both to the fireworks but it was WAY past their bedtime and it was also raining here yesterday! Overall it was a very relaxing and fun day!
