Watching the concert

My Mom and Robert came down to visit for the weekend and it just happened to land on the same weekend as a race in Daytona. Rob was able to get amazing tickets from a rep of his through the restaurant and thankfully Mom and Robert were more then willing to watch both kids...so we were off to Daytona.

We got there about 11:30a and had a great lunch thanks to the manager at a local restaurant. When we got into the track we were amazed at how much was planned for us. We had access to the suite right behind pit row. On the first level was a full layout of food all day including a pasta station, pizza station, and dessert station. On the second floor was a full bar and a hot dog and nacho station. The 3rd floor was a full bar and private rooms along with the timing and regulation booth. The 4th floor was a roof top patio open to the track. We got in and got settled then headed out to see what the track had to offer. After a few hours we met up with our tour guide and had full access to the pits and the drivers. We were able to see all the cars going through inspections and got to meet most of the pit crews for the various teams. From there we were taken out to the middle of the track and able to write our names on the start finish line and the wall of the track. We were able to stay out on the track and enjoy a concert by Darius Rucker. We headed back into the suite and had an amazing dinner before heading up to the second floor for the race. We enjoyed the race then were taken down to victory row and was able to watch the driver accept the award for winning the race.

We had a great day and are so thankful that my Mom and Robert were here so we could enjoy it! It was a much needed break for the both of us!!
