Labor

By 9am I had felt my first "real" contraction and by 9:03am was ready for some good drugs. The good thing about our induction is that we were the only ones on the floor at that time having a baby. I had to wait only about 20 minutes for the doctor to get there and by 9:40am I was feeling great.

We spent the rest of the day just waiting for my body to move the process along. At 1:30pm I was 8-9cm dialated and we didn't think it would be much longer. Then they noticed that Cooper was turned wrong and I stopped right there. At 3pm I began to have chills and the nurse noticed I was running a slight fever. By 4:30pm they were not sure if I would be able to have Cooper because I was still at 9cm and not moving very quickly. They began to move me from one side to the other every 10-15 mins. The doctor came in at 5:45 and I was ready to go. Dr. Cline came on duty at 6pm and came by to see me on her was in. She still had her coat on and asked me to push, when she saw the head she took her coat off and put on a robe. 23 minutes later Cooper was born.
