By Wednesday afternoon they thought Cooper was doing well enough to have the vent taken off and they put in oxygen that was constant but he was in control of when he needed it. They were sure he would not be on it long and they were right by Thursday morning he was doing well enough to come off of it.
They allowed Rob and I to hold him for a short time on Thursday night. It was amazing and felt so good to finally have him in our arms. We were able to also feed him via tube some breastmilk. Cooper was still very sick but coming out of it quickly.
